Short answer

Burning after sex with a condom can come from friction, dryness, sensitivity to latex or lubricant ingredients, or an infection that needs assessment. It is not possible to tell the cause from the feeling alone. Stop using anything that stings, avoid fragranced washes, and arrange care if symptoms persist, recur, or come with discharge, sores, pain when you pee, or pelvic pain.

Friction is a common explanation

Not being aroused enough, a long session, or not enough compatible lubricant can leave vulval or vaginal tissue sore. Go gently, stop if something hurts, and use a lubricant compatible with the condom material. Oil-based products can damage latex condoms.

Sensitivity is possible, but do not self-diagnose

Some people react to latex, lubricants, spermicide, fragrance, or other ingredients. A pharmacist or clinician can help you choose an alternative, including non-latex barriers where appropriate. Severe swelling, hives, wheezing, or trouble breathing needs emergency help.

Infection can look similar

Thrush, bacterial vaginosis, urinary infections, and STIs can overlap with irritation. A test or examination is more reliable than guessing or repeatedly changing products.
